Ideal QPUs
Ideal gate-based Quantum Emulators are QPUs which do not take a noise model as parameter, and therefore cannot simulate noise ; they can be contrasted with Noisy gate-based Quantum Emulators.
This however does not mean that all QPUs in this category will return exact results for every type of circuit that they can process. Some of those emulators’ representation of the quantum state introduce inaccuracies. Some of these QPUs can therefore be categorized as Exact QPUs and others as Approximate QPUs.
